1. What We Collect

• Account details: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
• Listing content you post: title, description, price, location and photos.
• Wallet activity: balance, unlock/posting history and payment references — not your bank/mobile money credentials.
• Basic usage data (pages visited, general location by city) to keep search and listings working well.

2. How We Use It

To operate the marketplace: showing your listings to interested users, revealing your contact details to someone who has paid to unlock them, processing wallet top-ups and subscriptions, and contacting you about your account (e.g. password resets, payment confirmations).

3. Who Can See What

Your listing details are public once posted. Your contact number is hidden until someone pays to unlock it. Institution room-allocation records (student names, room assignments) are private to that institution's own staff and to the student concerned — they are never public or searchable.

4. Payments

Wallet top-ups are currently confirmed manually by our team against EcoCash/bank references you provide — we do not store mobile money PINs or full card details. When a real payment gateway is integrated, that provider's own privacy terms will also apply to transactions processed through it.

5. Data Retention

We keep account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Your Choices

You can update your profile details from your account page at any time, and can request a copy or deletion of your data by reaching out to us.
